We stand for quality and character, we bottle exactly what Mother Nature has given us, nothing added and nothing taken away. Our packaging is carefully sourced, sustainably produced and we have adopted environmentally sustainable practices throughout our supply chain.

Sicily boasts diverse, unique climates, soils and topography - ideal growing conditions and fertile ground for organic agriculture which requires limited intervention.
Sicilian wine has a distinctive Mediterranean personality with a freshness and elegance that sets it apart from other southern wines.
Purato takes its complexity and character from our terroir, the concentration of fruit and full flavour from the Sicilian sun, and its freshness from the sea breezes. All 100% natural - the ladybird is the symbol of our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Our Founder and Winemakers
The grapes that make Purato so unique are grown in organic vineyards in the Trapani area, which is north of Marsala, to the extreme west of the island.
Trapani has long been known for the quality of its grapes and is perfect for organic production. We train our vines using the traditional Spalliera system.

Stefano Girelli
Stefano is the third generation in this winemaking family, with over 35 years’ experience in the wine business. Stefano founded TWP Wines in 2009, which he runs with his international business partner Peter Kosten and daughter Priscilla.
Stefano’s passion is for sustainable winemaking and he is a trailblazer for organic, sustainable wines in Sicily, with his two organic estates.

“Of the moment” and “greatly experienced”: this is how we would sum up our two winemakers, who are responsible for the vinification process. One of their main strengths is to respect the provenance and style of our wines.
Stefano and Mattia love the challenge of making sustainable and organic wines in Sicily and are proud of their extremely high standards in every part of the winemaking process.
